If your condition is non-urgent you can expect to see or speak to a GP or nurse within four working days, though you may have to wait longer if you want to see a particular GP. You can also book non-urgent appointments online, once you are registered for Patient Online Access

If you don't need an appointment within four working days you also have the option to book up to 4 weeks in advance if this is more convenient for you.

Please tell us if you are in a telephone box and we will ring you back. Say immediately if your call is an emergency.

Urgent cases are dealt with on the day.

Remember to arrive in plenty of time for your appointment. If you are late we may not be able to arrange for you to be seen and may have to rearrange the appointment.

Let us know if more than one person in the family needs to be seen. Each appointment lasts 10 minutes, and we can give you a second appointment if necessary.

Always tell us if you want someone to accompany you during an examination or a private room to discuss any matters.

Practice Nurse

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

Telephone Consultations

You can book to have a telephone consultation with a doctor. He or she will ring you at an agreed time on the telephone number you have given. Please ensure you are available to take the call.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
